Our
Story

about us pic.png

On a snowy 20 mile run, commencing a new decade,  an idea was hatched. It was cosmic in a way; doing something we love, the stillness around us, and the place the mind goes after being in motion for over two hours. Noos was born. We're mothers, athletes and extremely curious about our health. We house a burning desire to help those around us feel their best and to understand what drives behavior around nutrition and movement. Since then, there was a common theme that kept coming -- "how can we facilitate the conversations we were having with each other and reach a broader community?”

Creating a Noosletter that would reach a wider audience seemed like a natural first step. In a world where almost everything starts with “studies show” - how does one decipher who is communicating science with integrity, and who is just keeping up with health trends or giving personal opinions? It is increasingly difficult to listen to our bodies when there is health noise across every social media platform. What works for one “health specialist” may not for you, we are all different in so many ways - down to our cells.

So what makes us different?

We are excited to start this experiment with the Substack community. We hope readers see themselves as scientists - step back, try something out, and see how it feels. Experimenting takes the pressure off results and creates a more neutral environment.
